Dear Friends

I will be arriving in Lourdes about 11.00 on Pentecost Sunday. We celebrate ‘The Descent of the Holy Spirit and the Birth of the Church.’ I hope that the readings in ‘Marian Devotions’ reflect something of these great events. The Marist Pilgrimage to Lourdes will consist of 49 pilgrims by coach, 22 by air and augmented on Monday by 7 from Walsingham. This is always a great event and I am looking forward to it.

I have ventured into printing photographs on the Newsletter, the technique may well improve in the future, but I hope that they give some impression of the wonderful Swanwick Conference. Again we are most indebted to Fr Jan Hulshof SM for his inspiring talks.

WEBSITE As reported last month we now have a website. – http://maristway.org and a special Email address to go with it – webmaster@maristway.org. A number of new items have recently been added and we have had over 2,000 "hits" so far. Now is the time to visit. If people would like to contribute simply contact the Webmaster at the Email address.

TURIN CONFERENCE "‘Happy to be Marist’ A European gathering of members of the Marist Way and Laity Thursday 23^rd / Sunday 26^th August." At the moment 22 members have booked and we intend to make a "Marist Origins" pilgrimage on the way home, arriving Friday 31^st August. Details are now being finalised, but we anticipate a final cost of around £550.00. This should prove to be a wonderful experience. Places are limited so contact me a.s.a.p.!!

MARIST DAY AT WALSINGHAM Saturday 7^th July. Now is the time to make your travel arrangements for this day of prayer, reflection and reunion. We hope to meet many, many members of the Marist Way.
