Following on from the grace-filled September 28 bridge walk and reflection, the Marist Way invites you to our next formation session: Mary’s Story in the Gospels. Together, we will enter into the life of Mary as revealed in Scripture and reflect on how her journey continues to speak to us today.
Mary’s story is one of courage, trust, and faithful response. From the Annunciation to Pentecost, she is both gentle and strong, hidden and revolutionary. As Marists, we see in Mary a model of discipleship—her way of listening, her way of presence, her way of saying “yes” to God’s call. This session will combine input, quiet reflection, and open conversation, helping us discover how Mary’s journey resonates with our own.
Discussion and Reflection
Input: A brief exploration of Mary’s story in the Gospels:
The Annunciation: openness to God’s surprising call
The Visitation: service and joy in community
At the Cross: faith and compassion in suffering
Pentecost: presence and courage in the birth of the Church
Reflection: How does Mary’s way of discipleship—gentle, hidden, yet revolutionary—shape our own call to live simply, humbly, and in solidarity with God’s people today?
Conversation: Sharing stories and insights with one another, weaving Mary’s journey into our own.
